Respirology

With asthma and other COPD on the increase, and with the current state of the environment, the lungs are of more interest than ever.

In this course, we provide an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system. We discuss the various diagnostic methods which are used to assess the functional status of the respiratory system and explain blood gases and acid-base balance. We also discuss the major respiratory disorders of the upper and lower respiratory tract as well as drug-induced respiratory disorders. Both non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic treatment interventions are presented for each respiratory disorder.
