NOTE: Most questions on drugs in the final exam are related to drug classes rather than to specific products within a class. The majority of questions related to drugs deal with the general pharmacological information (indications, mechanism of action, side effects) of drug classes rather than with the pharmacology of specific products.

You must still learn however about the main treatment of a disease and about specific products within a class. As an example "The drug class of choice for glaucoma is ABC". Overall, you will find few questions about specific products in the exam. Given the number of products currently on the market, we are trying to eliminate these kinds of questions.

Tables of Normal Values

Tables of Normal Values

NOTE: Values and units of measurement listed in these tables are derived from several resources. Substantial variation exists in the ranges quoted as “normal” in various references and at different laboratories and may vary depending on the assay used to determine vales. Therefore these tables should be interpreted as directional only. Where possible Canadian sources are used, Globalrph.com was used to provide non SI unit conversions.
